Kyle’s Good Finds オーナー

アメリカ・ペンシルバニアで生まれ。ニューヨークで写真のラボで職人として働いていたとき、寿司レストランで寿司を食べ、衝撃を受けて、急激に日本の文化にのめり込んでいく。日本のことを学べば学ぶほど、前世が日本人だったのではないかと思うくらいにますます好きになっていった。

1984年に念願叶って27歳の時に来日。英語教師などを経て、アメリカのケーキ屋 Kyle’s Good Findsをはじめる。SNSで有名になり、世界中からお客さんが訪れるお店になっている。

August Guest Speaker: Kyle Sexton, Owner of Kyle’s Good Finds
Join us for a special talk with Kyle Sexton, owner of Kyle’s Good Finds. He will share his experiences as an African American and how he has connected with local communities here in Japan.

About Kyle Sexton
Kyle is the owner of Kyle’s Good Finds, a beloved American-style cake shop in Japan.

Born in Pennsylvania, USA, Kyle worked as a technician in a photo lab in New York. One day, he tasted sushi at a restaurant and was so moved by the experience that he quickly became fascinated with Japanese culture. The more he learned, the more he felt a deep connection—almost as if he had been Japanese in a past life.

In 1984, at the age of 27, Kyle finally fulfilled his dream of coming to Japan. After working as an English teacher, he started his cake shop, Kyle’s Good Finds. Through social media, the shop became widely known, attracting customers from all over the world.
