7月のゲストはNPOシャプラニールで活動されている東香澄さんのお話です。1972年に創設されたシャプラニールでどのような活動をされているのかをお聞きします。

東香澄さんプロフィール

生時代に発展途上国の課題を知り、自分には何ができるのかずっと模索してきました。保育所や障がい者施設、幼稚園での保育士の仕事、エチオピア・エジプトでの青年海外協力隊（幼児教育）等を経て、どんな人でも安心して自分らしく生きやすい居場所づくりをしたいという思いが強くなりました。人々の可能性を広げていくシャプラニールでたくさんの人にとって、つながりを感じるあたたかい居場所を広げられたらなと思い活動しています。

Living Together Society: "About the Activities of NPO Shanti Volunteer Association (Shapla Neer)"

Guest: Kasumi Azuma

Our guest for July will be Kasumi Azuma, who is active with the NPO Shapla Neer. We will hear about the kinds of activities they've been doing at Shapla Neer, which was founded in 1972.

Kasumi Azuma Profile

During her student years, Kasumi Azuma learned about the challenges faced by developing countries and has since continuously sought to understand what she could do to help. Through her work as a nursery school teacher, at facilities for people with disabilities, and in kindergartens, as well as her time with the Japan Overseas Cooperation Volunteers (JOCV) in Ethiopia and Egypt, her desire to create safe and comfortable places where everyone can live authentically intensified. She is currently working with Shapla Neer, an organization that expands people's potential, hoping to broaden warm spaces where many people can feel connected.
